UN deplores systematic denial of access to Gaza as truce efforts intensify

UNITED NATIONS: The UN has lamented the “systematic denial of access” to parts of Gaza amid worsening humanitarian crises in the beleaguered territory, Al Jazeera reported.

In a statement, OCHA said that the body has not been able to execute necessary aid deliveries due to its convoys being attacked leaving it unable to reach northern, and southern parts of Gaza safely.

Al-Amal Hospital attacked 40 times in one month: WHO chief

In what can be called a war crime, the Israeli forces attacked Al-Amal Hospital in Khan Younis as many as 40 times in one month, the World Health Organisation (WHO) chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus confirmed.

Ghebreyesus said that the WHO, UN and Palestine Red Crescent (PRCS) transferred 24 patients out of the hospital over the weekend, with the facility reeling under an Israeli siege and constant attacks.

“The WHO, UN and PRCS reached besieged Al-Amal hospital in Khan Younis, Gaza, over the weekend and transferred 24 patients, including one pregnant woman, one mother and a newborn.”

“The hospital experienced 40 attacks from 22 January to 22 February, which killed at least 25 and left it incapacitated.  31 patients are still in the hospital.”

Israeli bombardment claims 9 more lives in Khan Younis

At least nine more Palestinians were martyred in Khan Yunis, in the south of the Gaza Strip, as Israel continued unabated bombardment in the besieged enclave.

According to Arab media, nine bodies have been retrieved from under the rubbles of a building destroyed during the attack.
